Sunk On Purpose?!

Uh Oh’s! Dramz on the high seas!
It was released today that Sea Shepard, the conservation group seen on Discovery Channel protecting whales may have deliberately sunk their own ship to gain sympathy against Japanese whalers.
New Zealander and skipper Peter Bethune said the futuristic trimaran Ady Gil was salvagable after a crash with a Japanese whaling vessel, but that he was ordered by Sea Shepherd head Paul Watson to sink it.
Watson denied the claim, saying the decision was Bethune’s, “”Pete is on camera saying ‘yes, I guess we’re going to have to let it go,’ so it was his decision and actually wasn’t mine.”
This sounds like the classic he said she said!
There certainly seems to be some bad blood between Watson and Bethune now and that’s really disappointing. Both were fighting for a good cause and seem to be losing sight of it. Japan has been whaling for years after it had been deemed illegal under the guise of “scientific research.”
By this information becoming public, the image of Sea Shepard will only become tarnished – ultimately hurting the goal of the conservationists.
Come on guys! Just make up and bury the hatchet. There are bigger things to go after other than each other. Remember what you started this whole operation for!
