J.Crew really wants to keep their hands on their creative director, Jenna Lyons!
The preppy peeps have given Lyons a one-time $1 million cash bonus as a thanks for all she’s done for the brand. But – and it’s a very big but – if she leaves J.Crew before October 27th, 2011, she’ll have to give it all back. And, even if she stays past Oct. 27, ’11, if she leaves before October 27, 2013, she’ll still have to give back half of the bonus, unless the company fires her or her departure is “for good reason,” as defined by J.Crew.
Jeez, not much of a bonus! Sounds more like a ball and chain!
Hopefully Lyons will stay put!
