Whitney Houston's Mother PLEADS For Fans To Let Her Daughter 'Rest'! Here's What She Has To Say About The Lifetime Biopic!

The drama over the Whitney Houston biopic continues!
In an interview with Entertainment Tonight, Whitney’s mother, Cissy Houston, stated her objections over the Lifetime film and made an emotional plea to her daughter’s fans.
Cissy explained:

“Lifetime has chosen to go ahead with the movie about Whitney in spite of my family’s objections. No one connected with this movie knew Whitney or anything about her relationship with Bobby. In the two years since Whitney’s death, many people have stepped forward to speak about their close relationship with her. I find it difficult to believe people who knew and supposedly loved her would participate in a movie about her done by folks who didn’t know her. We are exhausted by the continuing misinformation and comments offered by people who did not know her. Please please let her rest.”

Wow, we really feel for Cissy and this whole situation is just incredibly sad!
We can’t say Cissy’s objections are surprising, though. Since Lifetime announced Angela Bassett would direct the biopic back in May, there was MAJOR controversy with Bobbi Kristina, and the Houston family even threatened to file a lawsuit.
Despite Cissy’s wishes, it looks like Lifetime has no plans of scrapping the project.…we guess Whitney’s mom will just have to hope Bassett portrays her daughter in the best way possible.
