Last time Whitney Houston‘s mom Cissy put a pen to paper, things got a little heated between family members!
But now it looks like she’s trying to extend the olive branch and mend her broken relationship with Bobbi Kristina!
Well, sort of.
Cissy recently wrote an apology letter to her granddaughter that mainly concerns the turmoil that was brought on by her book, Remembering Whitney. She also takes the time to apologize and let Bobbi know that she is always there for her, however she finds herself on a slippery slope when she comments on her relationship with Nick Gordon!
She writes:
“Krissi, all I want for you is your good health and your happiness. I want you to have a good life that you can be proud of. Do I want you to get married in the near future? No, I don├óΓé¼Γäót. I think you├óΓé¼Γäóre too young and I wish you├óΓé¼Γäód wait. But that├óΓé¼Γäós because I├óΓé¼Γäóm Grandma. I├óΓé¼Γäóm supposed to worry about you. I├óΓé¼Γäóm supposed to wonder If Nick or ANY man is good enough for you, My Baby├óΓé¼Γäós Baby. I├óΓé¼Γäóm not angry with Nick and I don├óΓé¼Γäót think, nor did I ever say anything hurtful about him to anyone. I have NEVER publicly commented on your personal life and I don├óΓé¼Γäót intend to. So in the future when you read or hear that Cissy Houston said this or Cissy Houston said that, be confident in the knowledge that it isn├óΓé¼Γäót true.”
Hmmm. We’re not totally sure that she needed to include the whole part with Nick!
Overall, the letter certainly comes across as a heartfelt apology, but the fact that she released it to the press seems to take away from the sincerity a little bit!
We guess we’ll just have to wait and see whether Bobbi accepts her apology or not!
