Big fans of the movies will certainly enjoy this news:
Whoopi Goldberg is in talks to join the London cast of the musical, Sister Act.
As you well know, Whoopi originated the role of Sister Mary Clarence/ Doloris back in the 90’s flicks. Now, for the stage version, Whoopi would be stepping into the shoes of Mother Superior, the role Dame Maggie Smith had in the films.
Whoopi will hopefully join the cast of the West End show for the production’s final run in October. Then, the show is off to Broadway.
Maybe she’ll reprise the role again once on Broadway! We’d love to see that!
