Will and Jaden Smith are about to be in a movie together, so they’re pretty close.
But Jaden may be trying to pull away!
Or at least wants to move down the block!
Here’s what Daddy Will said:
”He says, ‘Dad, I want to be emancipated,’ I know if we do this, he can be an emancipated minor, because he really wants to have his own place.”
Not sure if that’s a bright idea, Will!
But Mr. Smith is intent on being seen as a much more fun father than his was to him.
Here’s how Will Smith explained it:
“I was brought up with, ‘You don’t even talk to your parents about what your opinion is, you are not allowed to have an opinion. When you pay some bills, you can have an opinion.’ … My parents let me talk now.”
Still – a whole house for Jaden??? He’s 14! Why not wait a couple years before handing him the keys?
Not a whole lot of good can happen from it, and a whole bad lot can! Just sayin’!
UPDATE: We’re now hearing that Jaden will NOT be getting emancipated for his 15th bday! We gotta say, we’re not entirely surprised this isn’t true! We know Parents Just Don’t Understand but this is just cray!
