Wisconsin Doesn't Want People Getting Free Cancer Screening

Ugh.
So, you know Wisconsin, right? The state? Filled with wonderful people, but some of them might not have health insurance but still need to get screened for cancer.
Well, there’s a governor there (Scott Walker) that has decided that people without insurance getting free cancer screening is a bad idea — because it’s Planned Parenthood who offers it!
The program, called the Wisconsin Well Woman Program, started 17 years ago to help women ages 45 to 64 who don’t have health coverage can still receive free breast cancer, cervical cancer, and multiple sclerosis screenings.
But the program uses contractors, and one of them is Planned Parenthood. AND THEY’RE THE ENEMY! No matter how much good they do!
Sure, for conservatives and pro-lifers it sounds like a good thing sticking it to PP. But are they blind to the fact that this is a huge blow to women in general who need this support?? Why would they put ANYTHING in front of keeping women healthy, especially those who can’t afford screening? It just sounds evil to us.
More than a 1,000 women a year will no longer have access to a program that found 15 cases that wouldn’t have been found without the program.
Quit putting political ideology in front of peoples’ well being. It makes you look pretty dickish.
Just sayin’.
