Wednesday’s Mexico City premiere of X-Men Origins: Wolverine has been postponed due to the deadly virus!
“We were not only concerned about Hugh’s welfare – and we would never send anyone into harm’s way – but we also have an enormous office filled with people we care about. There was no point in proceeding under the current conditions,” said studio reps for Twentieth Century Fox.
Mexican government officials have instructed the population to remain indoors and not to venture out into public venues, including movie theaters.
There are talks of rescheduling the premiere once the virus subsides because of Hugh Jackman‘s large fan base in Mexico, but nothing has been set in stone.
Bummer!
