This is just so awful!!
Sarah Sanaghan was a 29-year-old single mother who died in a car crash near Crete, Indiana.
An 18-wheeler struck her Chevy Cruze around 5:40am as she pulled onto an expressway.
In a weird twist of fate, the site of her accident is only about 500-feet from the spot where he twin sister was killed 18 years earlier!
All that time ago, Sarah and her twin sister Cari were having a sleepover with friends when they decided to sneak out at night.
While crossing the street, the kids were struck by a neighbor’s car in a hit-and-run accident.
Sarah survived being struck, Cari wasn’t so lucky. She was killed on impact.
The neighbor eventually was caught and served jail time, though only about a year. This case led to the hit-and-run laws being changed so offenders would end up in jail for 3-14 years.
So sad and so strangely coincidental that Sarah died in almost the same spot as her twin.
She leaves behind her 11-year-old son Elijah. Sarah’s family created a fund raising page to help fund Elijah’s needs and college eduction.
Their modest goal of $1,000 has already been surpassed, reaching 8 times its original goal.
