Woman Killed While Saving Dog

So sad!
A California woman was killed this past Sunday afternoon while trying to save a stray dog running through the traffic.
48-year-old Mara Steves was walking with her son around 11 a.m. when they spotted a dog running through lanes at the intersection.
After she successfully retrieved the animal and brought it to the sidewalk, a car ran a red light at the intersection and struck another car which continued onto the sidewalk and killed the mother of two instantly.
Luckily, her son was not injured and the dog escaped the oncoming vehicle as well.
It’s terrible to see bad things happen to good people, especially when trying to do a good deed.
Mara was described by friends as “the most giving person” who was full of life.
We wish her friends and family the best as they deal with the tragic loss of such a kind woman.
