Amanda Gryce is a 24-year-old woman from Florida who suffers from Persistent Genital Arousal Disorder.
That means that something as simple as a car ride or heavy bass can give her a powerful orgasm.
Sounds amazing, right? WRONG. It’s awful for her. She’s had this condition since she was six. She can have 50 orgasms a day and several of them are often back to back. They happen in public, in front of family members and during all sorts of awful situations.
But she’s taking charge and seeking treatment for her condition! She said:
“Since last year I’ve been on a quest to find out more about this condition. It’s been one disappointment after another thanks to the reluctance of some doctors to see this as a valid condition.”
She’s finally found a doctor who is a pelvic pain expert and things are now looking good.
After treatment, she’s hopeful that eventually she’ll be able to have a normal sex life. She continued:
“After seeing Dr Echenberg I found there are things which can reduce the intensity of the orgasms – even though they are still constant. I take medication to numb the areas and do exercise to try to take me mind of it. Taking control over the disorder rather then it controlling me is a dream come true.”
Sadly, the treatment means she can’t have sex with her new boyfriend, who she met on a dating site.
He’s completely supportive of her, though, which is amazing!
