Dylan Farrow bravely came forward Saturday about the alleged abuse she suffered at the hand of her adoptive father Woody Allen and she is oh so grateful for the outpouring of love she’s received in response.
New York Times‘ columnist Nicholas Kristof ├óΓé¼ΓÇ¥ who helped publish Dylan’s shocking and heartbreaking story ├óΓé¼ΓÇ¥ said:
“She’s really heartened by the response and support she’s getting. She sends a big thank you to all those speaking up about sexual abuse and trying to break the silence. She was nervous about what the reaction would be to an essay so personal, but she put herself out there.”
It must be difficult for ANY victim of abuse to speak out, but especially for someone who is accusing not only her father, but an super famous and beloved name.
We applaud Dylan for her bravery because without bravery like hers, there would be no glimmer of hope that there will ever be a stop to sexual violence.
