Wounded Warriors Get Paired Up With Amazing Amputee Kids For Some Softball And Inspiration!

This is so incredible!
Twenty amputee kids from across the country get to go to a special camp each year — it’s called the Wounded Warrior Amputee Softball Team’s Kids Camp in Louisville, Kentucky and it’s exactly what it sounds like! AMAZING!
The Wounded Warrior Amputee Softball Team is made up of military members who have lost limbs and so their kids camp is all about giving back and helping others.
They don’t just teach disabled kids how to play softball, they want to imbue them with their motto: “Life Without a Limb is Limitless.”
The founder of the Wounded Warrior Amputee Softball Team, David Van Sleet, said:

“It├óΓé¼Γäós tough for children. They go to school, and they├óΓé¼Γäóre amputees, and they├óΓé¼Γäóre singled out. You know, a lot of times they have embarrassing moments, stuff like that. And they├óΓé¼Γäóre usually isolated. So when they get into an environment like this ├óΓé¼┬ª they feel so much better that they├óΓé¼Γäóre not the only one.”

That’s amazing they can show kids that being an amputee doesn’t have to negatively affect your life!
They do that not only through teaching the kids softball but also by taking them on field trips, like to the Louisville Slugger factory where baseball bats are actually made!!
