The wrestling community is mourning the loss of Vince Steele.
The professional independent wrestler, known as the Jurassic Juggernaut, has sadly passed away after a medical emergency during a match on Sunday. While at the Brii Combination Wrestling event in New Jersey, the 39-year-old was in the ring when he died, per a statement via PWInsider.com:
“During yesterday’s event, Vince suffered a medical emergency in the ring. We want to express our deepest gratitude to the Ridgefield Park Police Department, who were on the scene within minutes and immediately provided emergency medical assistance. Despite their rapid response and the best efforts of first responders, we tragically lost Vince.”
Heartbreaking.

The statement went on to say they would release more information soon:
“This is an unimaginable loss, and we ask for patience and respect as we process this tragedy. We will share more details in the coming days on how we plan to honor Vince’s incredible legacy.”
Although we don’t know exactly what happened to Vince, Fightful reported he suffered a “cardiac event” that claimed his life. So, so sad. The New York City native, who was known his signature move “The Bronx Getaway,” worked for promotions including VxS, CCW, American Championship Entertainment, and more throughout his career.
Our heart goes out to everyone who knew and loved Vince. May he rest in peace.
