Sounds like there was a LOT more we missed out on when Britney Spears’ ex-duet partner awkwardly surprised her on X Factor!
Not only did Don Philip feel like he ├óΓé¼┼ôhurt├óΓé¼┬¥ Brit Brit after getting passed on by all four judges, but it seems the show edited out one particular part of his audition — when he came out as gay!

In an interview following the show’s premiere, Philip said he felt the XF gang FORCED his answer out of him and that they “bullied” him about it, even after he told producers he wished to keep mum!
The tearful hopeful went on to confess:
“After that thing, I went home and had thoughts of [suicide]. I was so destroyed that they set me up.”
As for FOX’s side of things?
The network’s statement reads:
The judges were not given any information at all about Mr. Philip prior to his audition. The personal information that Mr. Philip quickly volunteered at the start of his audition was a surprise to the judges, who asked what had happened during the past 10 years, as they were interested in Mr. Philip’s career. While we understand his decision to discuss his personal life, Mr. Philip’s sexual orientation was not something that any of the judges or producers felt was relevant to this audition.
Hmm… it├óΓé¼Γäós hard to tell what REALLY went on, but obviously X Factor doesn├óΓé¼Γäót have a problem with gay contestants, as seen in last night’s episode!
Maybe it didn’t fit into the edit and they were just trying to find out what his story was???
