One court’s ruling might cause one woman to yelp for real!
Christopher Dietz, a contractor based in Washington D.C., is testifying today in his case against a former client of his who wrote a really, really, really bad review on Yelp!
Jane Perez apparently hired Christopher to do work on her home, was unhappy with the results, posted a negative review on Yelp claiming that he damaged her home, and accused him of jewelry theft.
Christopher is suing for as much as $750,000, saying that her accusations are false, have drained him, his business, and his family, and resulted in a “loss of work opportunities in an amount of at least $300,000.”
Meanwhile, she’s countersuing claiming that he made false statements about her on Yelp!
One thing’s for sure…we’re totally going to think twice before giving out just one star.
