YouTube Star's Husband Interrupts Tutorial To Announce She Died Before Finishing Video!

A beloved YouTube star has sadly passed away… Before ever getting to finish her final video.

Donna Jordan was a name that reached countless aspiring quilters. She made a living sharing her knowledge of the art of quilt making of all different patterns and fabrics, and she shared tips on YouTube — where she amassed over 706,000 subscribers! She even successfully launched Jordan Fabrics with her husband Matt Jordan, where you can purchase various fabrics and see her tutorials on how to turn them into beautiful blankets.

But what her viewers didn’t know is she was quietly dealing with a serious illness… And she sadly succumbed to it earlier this month.

During her most recent YouTube video, she walks followers through the art of making “drop diamond” patterns… But about 12 minutes in, the footage abruptly cuts to her husband Matt revealing the tragic news:

“Hi everyone. I’m Matt Jordan, and this video will end right here.”

He explains that their son James wasn’t able to edit together a proper ending for the video… because Donna passed away:

“Unfortunately on March 14 at about 4:00 a.m., Donna passed away. Donna has been battling an illness for a few years now, and the last three months it got more acute and she needed more treatments.”

That is so, so sad! And imagine how jarring to be watching this having no idea!

Matt goes on to share details about his and Donna’s 51 years together. They met at 16, and she enjoyed quilt making up until the end of her life at 67 years old:

“I just want to yell you that Donna loved what she did. She couldn’t believe that she could make money cutting quilts, making quilts, and teaching people how to do them. It was such a blessing to her and I hope a blessing to you all. We just will miss her greatly here.”

How heartbreaking!

The mourning husband promises the Jordan family will continue producing content on Donna’s behalf. He says while fighting back tears:

“In the meantime, we will just honor Donna for the person she was I’m just so happy and blessed honestly to have her be a part of my life, and I hope you all enjoyed her in your life also.”

Our hearts are broken for the Jordan family and all those who found comfort in Donna’s videos. As of the time of writing this story, her final video is trending on YouTube… Which just goes to show how adored she was.
