A YouTube star and his passenger are lucky to be alive after he crashed his luxury sports car over the weekend.
On Saturday, 20-year-old Jack Doherty hopped on the livestream platform Kick to share a broadcast of himself and a friend cruising down a rainy Miami highway in his custom McLaren 570S before the unthinkable happened. Jack lost control of the sports car and crashed head on into a metal barrier, completely wrecking the front end of the vehicle.
In footage Jack shared on his Instagram, he and his friend Michael David are trapped in the car as it seemingly begins to fill with smoke. He screams for help as Michael kicks out the passenger window. Luckily, good samaritans pull over and help Jack out of the car. The streamer continues to film throughout, even at one point asking a bystander to hold the camera. When he’s out of the car, he aims the camera at the damage while screaming:
“My f**king car! Holy s**t no!”
He then makes his way to the passenger side where Michael is seen inside clenching his left wrist while blood drips down his face. You can watch the shocking and graphic footage at your own discretion HERE.
That’s so scary… In summer 2023, Jack revealed the McLaren cost $202,850… Yikes.

Jack shared a subsequent video of himself seemingly in a hospital room with Michael, who was getting stitches on his head injury, which you can see (below):
A third post shows Jack standing shirtless next to the wrecked McLaren, which he captioned:
“Blessed we’re alive @micha3l_david”
According to multiple outlets, more than 185,000 people were watching Jack’s livestream on Kick at the time of his crash. The platform has since removed it AND Jack’s account as he appeared to be looking down at his phone while operating the vehicle. Their guidelines state:
“Prioritize your safety and the safety of those around you by avoiding dangerous [behavior] … Prioritize safety for yourself, your audience, the public and anyone else involved. If someone is in danger or needs help, turn your camera away and contact local EMS immediately.”
None of which Jack seems to have done, as he continued to film the disaster.
In his comments on Instagram, followers took aim at the 20-year-old for seemingly being more immediately concerned with his car than his friend’s life:
“Bro was more worried about recording his own crash than the camera man’s life”
“Bro, you’re talking about your f**king car what about your friend?”
“Put the dang phone down u clown”
“He cares way too much about footage..all he cares about is the car!!”
“bro does not give a single f**k about his friend damn”
“Look what you did! You could’ve killed your friend! And all your worried about is your car!!”
On Sunday, Jack took to X (Twitter) to share the following update:
“Going to post a more detailed response today but it’s been 24 hours since the accident and I just want to say how grateful I am that Michael and I are alive. I’m so sorry Michael for putting you thru that. Thank you to all the first responders and everyone who helped us get out of the car. This could’ve been so much worse and it’s a huge learning lesson.”
