Laura Lee is literally canceled.
The YouTube star has reportedly lost every one of her business partnerships after a 2012 racist tweet came to light.
A spokesperson for Ulta Beauty told The Blast they have shelved her upcoming makeup line:
“We have decided not to move forward with the launch of Laura Lee Los Angeles. Ulta Beauty values equality and inclusivity in all that we do.”
The CEO of makeup subscription service Boxycharm cut ties with the YouTuber personally — in a video posted to that site’s Facebook.
Video: No One Bought Laura’s Apology
Diff Eyewear told customers asking about Lee’s products:
“We’ve taken this issue very seriously and do not support the comments that were made. At this time, our Peachy frames are unavailable for purchase. Thank you for your understanding.”
While Morphe Brushes has not released a statement, they did quietly erase Laura from their website and list all her products as SOLD OUT.
In addition to her business relationships, Lee has also apparently already lost hundreds of thousands of subscribers.
In case you didn’t see it, Lee’s tweet read:
“Tip for all black people if you pull ur pants up you can run from the police faster.. #yourwelcome”
So yeah. Pretty horrible.
