Zooey Deschanel Drops Lawsuit Against Steve Madden

Zooey Deschanel‘s had a change of heart!
Last week the New Girl filed a motion to dismiss her lawsuit against Steve Madden just days before the trial was set to begin.
In case you forgot, Zooey was suing the shoe maker over an orally negotiated multi-million dollar endorsement deal that allowed Madden to use the actress’s name and likeness with shoes and accessories, but he never paid up.
On top of a breach of contract Deschanel also claimed her publicity rights were infringed after Candie’s, a company Steve Madden has an exclusive contract with, released a “Zooey” shoe.
It’s unknown if Steve and Zooey struck a settlement deal, but it’s probably safe to a$$ume that’s what happened.
