As we mentioned earlier today, Zsa Zsa Gabor returned to Los Angeles yesterday to check into the Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center with the possibility of doctors having to partially amputate her leg.
The onset of gangrene on her right leg is said to be causing health issues for the 93-year-old.
But as of late today, doctors are working hard to save her leg and are treating Zsa Zsa with some strong antibiotics.
According to her publicist, Gabor will stay at the hospital for the next few days for observation and treatment, adding:
“The lesion is apparently very deep. They’re afraid it may be into the bone, which would not be good. Before taking that drastic measure, they want to give it one last chance with some really powerful antibiotics.”
The lesion was apparently just an inch big a few months ago but has grown to almost a foot now.
We wish Zsa Zsa a speedy and healthy recovery.
