Rocker Will Hoge from Nashville Tennessee is in critical condition in Vanderbilt University Medical Center.
The 35 year old was involved in a motor scooter accident on Wednesday evening.
Hoge was hit when a van failed to yield while turning.
His scooter then collided with the passenger side of the van which caused his injuries.
The driver of the van did not suffer any injuries.
Police reports show that there was no evidence of drugs or alcohol involved in the accident.
Hoge’s official site says “The entire Will Hoge family appreciates your tremendous outpouring of concern, support and prayers.”
As for Hoge, he’s a former major-label musician who has turned into a “hard-touring, do-it-yourself musician.”
Let’s hope he makes it out ok.
UPDATE: We have just receive an official statement from Will Hoge’s reps.
And there’s good news!
His condition has been upgraded to stable and only suffered broken bones and contusions.
Dr. John A. Morris Jr., director of the Division of Trauma at Vanderbilt Medical Center, says “Mr. Hoge suffered multiple injuries during the accident, however, he is progressing according to plans.”
Hoge’s promotions manager adds, “Will’s friends and fans have been tremendous. We appreciate their continued support and prayers. Will is anxious to get back in the studio and on tour, and will do so as soon as his doctors allow.”
