Tina Fey still has the touch of gold.

Fey’s impersonation of Republican VP nominee Sarah Parlin is bringing in big numbers.

This weekend’s Saturday Night Live averaged a 7.4 household rating/18 share in market.

SNL is also up 49% in the ratings compared with the first four weeks of last season.

It seems people are into political humor as SNL‘s skits are very heavy into politics this season.

This weekend included a spoof between Palin and Democrat Joe Biden.

And, for the third time this season, Palin was portrayed by Fey.

As for the moderator Gwen Ifill, she was played by “surprise” guest Queen Latifah.

ABC News political director David Chalian says, “Clearly, Saturday Night Live and Tina Fey’s spot-on creation of Sarah Palin is now a part of this election season. It does show a frame through which a lot of people see these candidates.”
