I'm of the opinion that you should only vote if you've made the effort to actually educate and inform yourself regarding the pressing issues leading up to an election. People shouldn't vote simply because they can. They should be voting because they truly feel strongly about a candidate or an issue and know what they are doing. An uninformed vote is worse than not voting at all.
Don't trip Perez. I am 40 and never voted but I am going to this time. Hopefully there are a lot of people that will make that choice and go out and vote.

Get out of TOWN! I voted early today too and I live in Indiana. It was super easy. I just went to the local county court house, walked myself to the voter registration room, and said I was there for early voting. Then I had to sign a couple papers and then I went to the voting booth!

I live in Montana, I've voted in every election since I was 18 (first one being the Gore/Bush election - blech!) and I've always been shocked out how many of my friends say they are not voting because it won't make a difference. It does!
We're one of the few states in which Ron Paul got the republican majority over McCain, and Paul is on the ballot (Constitution Party) this year. Hopefully that will tip the Republican vote and give Obama the majority.
Obama has visited our state 5 times! McCain = ZERO. Barack surprisingly came over to a friend of my mom's house (she wasn't expecting it) and stayed with her and her family way after everyone left.. He legitimately cares about people.
My 85 year old grams and myself sent in our absentee ballots for Obama last week. Heres hoping Montana goes blue in '08!

I live in Canada and even we are getting screwed over. We had our LOWEST amount of eligible voters participate this year, like % wise low 60s.
