Sad news, especially during the holidays.

Police are reporting that John Costelloe, the actor who played the gay-fireman lover of a mobster on The Sopranos has died in New York.

He was a victim of a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head.

Costelloe played the short-order cook Jim “Johnny Cakes” Witowski opposite Joseph Gannascoli, who played the main gay mobster.

Gannascoli stated “I was shocked when I heard, and it still hasn’t really sunk in. I never detected anything troubling about him. I enjoyed all the time I ever spent with him.”

Costelloe’s 77 year-old dad says, “It’s beyond me. This is too much for me to handle right now.”

According to polce rep Lt. John Grimpel, Costelloe was found dead on December 18th at his Brooklyn home of an apparent suicide.

Police were only called to his home after family members couldn’t reach the 47 year-old actor.

His family, friends, and fans are now left hurting over his loss.

Suicide is never the answer y’all!
