Is Olivia Newton John‘s ex-boyfriend still alive?
Investigators believe that Patrick McDermott staged his own death 4 years ago to evade debt and so that his son would collect a $100,000 life insurance policy. They believe he’s been living off the Mexican and South American coastline in a boat.
Lead investigator Philip Klein says that he and his team have been utilizing a “Find Patrick McDermott” website to secretly track where hits to the site come from. Klein believes McDermott himself has been checking in on the site, “looking over his shoulder” as he remains on the run.
Klein says it’s just a matter of time before they catch McDermott, of whom there have been several sightings. A hardened investigator, Klein said ominously, “He’s going to make a mistake – they (people on the run) all make mistakes. He’s going to do something and I’ll be right on his tail.”
What a weird case!
