The song sucks, Shakira is not the same anymore. I love the first two albums and even Laundry Service but now her voice sounds like a badly tuned radio.
This song is much better in Spanish. While this version is okay as far as translation goes, it connotes a passivity that isn't present in the Spanish. Compare the Spanish chorus ("A she-wolf in the closet wants to leave…") to the English chorus ("There’s a she wolf in the closet, open up and set her free…").
The Spanish has this self-reliance and fierceness that befits such a song–the English, not so much.
I guess that's the only way people will listen to her music….desperate…
