Even while severely ill, Sen. Edward Kennedy is focusing on the good of the nation and on getting his position filled ASAP.
The Senator, who’s battling brain cancer, has sent a letter to Massachusetts state leaders requesting that they expedite and fill his Congress seat.
In his letter, Kennedy writes, “It is vital for this commonwealth to have two voices speaking for the needs of its citizens and two votes in the Senate.”
He’s requesting the leaders change the current state law in order to allow for a quicker replacement of his political seat.
Let’s hope they do something about that soon and hope that Kennedy is feeling better.
