The song may have been "The Hurt", one he reported played with his trio but has yet to make it on a commercial recording. I believe it was written long before he dated Jessica Simpson. I have been following John's career closely for about 1.5 years and I can't remember hearing or reading once a derrogatory remark specifically aimed at his ex. I think he has too much class for that! Yes, I know he has done some "douchey" sounding things, but that seems to be when he is under the influence of both drink and a certain comic, Sherrod Small. I don't know what that chemistry is all about those tow, but it seems that Mr. Small is not good for John. Still, John is old enough to make his own mistakes.
ANYAWY…I can't wait to hear if these reputed "new songs" are truely new or just unfamiliar to the reporting audience members. And, BTW, John will be doing an acoustic set at the Bridge School Concerts later this month in CA. Tickets availble at TM and Craigslist (mine). Check it out!
