Granddaughter of Ernest Hemingway and sister of Mariel, Margaux Hemingway lived a charmed life that was plagued by severe depression, emotional problems and substance abuse.
Sound intriguing? Good, because it’s gonna be a movie!
Margaux rose to fame as supermodel in the late 70s and early 80s, becoming the first model to earn a $1 million contract. She was a regular at the debaucherous Studio 54, where her battles with drugs and alcohol began, and claimed to have been abused by her godfather – putting her on the outs with her family.
In 1996, just one day before her grandfather’s suicide, Margaux took her own life. She was found in her Santa Monica apartment and died from an overdose of Phenobarbital.
“She rose to fame too quickly. It was all too much for this girl from Ketchum, ID, to land in NY and practically overnight become a supermodel,” said one of the few survivors of the Andy Warhol era, Richard Dupont.
Actress Melissa George is said to be portray the supermodel.
Would U see it?!
