It’s a cold day in hell when country legend Loretta Lynn cancels a show and that’s exactly what she had to do last week! Fans have become increasingly concerned over her health as she continues to axe gigs due to a terrible case of the flu.
And it’s pretty serious!
“Loretta has a long-term serious respiratory problem which only gets worse with age… She has to take a break during her shows to use her inhaler so she can carry on,” claims a source. “Loretta’s stubborn. She wanted to play the dates, but her doctors told her point-blank she needed to rest for weeks… Doctors have told Loretta for the last year or more she can’t continue touring.”
Tragic.
“But Loretta insists, ‘You tell me I can’t sing anymore, you might as well dig the hole and throw dirt on me,'” the insider continued.
2010 will be a big year for the iconic singer! John Carter Cash, Johnny Cash‘s son, is set to produce her upcoming greatest hits album.
