The people of Venezuela have spoken!

Hugo Chavez‘s bid to turn the South American country into a socialist state under his dictatorship have been crushed.

Democracy rules!

Venezuelans voted no on a constitutional reform that would have seen the monster able to stay in office INDEFINITELY.

Additionally, Chavez had also been seeking control over foreign currency reserves and to boost his powers to expropriate private property.

Even the powerful Catholic church in Venezuela was against Hugo’s changes!

Chavez now HAS to step down by 2013. Thankfully.
