Hilary Duff, Grown-Up Fashion "Designer"

wenn52195762.jpg

Hilary Duff really wants to be a mini-mogul. The 21-year-old singer/actress is currently working on a new fashion line in collaboration with a DKNY.

Her new collection is called Femme for DKNY Jeans.

In a new interview, Hils said that "One of the hardest things is to come up with a name. But I think Femme works really well and explains the line perfectly as feminine but tough all at the same time. It’s aggressive, but in a good way.”

This is Hilary's second attempt at fashion. About five years ago she released Stuff by Hilary Duff, which is now being phased out.

She said about her previous line, “I’ve lost interest in it, and I’m ready to move on and do other things. I feel like the brand was for younger girls, and I want to do things for girls my own age now. I’ve been learning so much about how the process happens from how much certain things cost to shipping schedules - it has been an amazing learning experience.”

The Femme line will launch this fall in stores and is set to be sold for two seasons.

There's also an option to extend the agreement if it sells well.

It better not be Beckham-priced!

Hillary Duff On The Defensive, Lashes Back At Faye Dunaway

bitch-slap__opt.jpg

A few days ago, the 'original' Bonnie, Faye Dunaway, blasted the casting of Hillary Duff in a new Bonnie and Clyde movie.

The Oscar winner said that Hils wasn't a 'real' actress.

Well, The Duffster just bit back at the old screen lady in a new interview with E!'s Daily 10. And we loves it!

Says Hilary:

"I think that my fans that are going to go see the movie don't even know who she is, so you know…. I think it was a little unnecessary but I might be mad if I looked like that now too."

Low blow, Hil. Low blow!!! But true. VERY true.

Miz Dunaway, your turn!

Let's see if H-Duf can win an Oscar nom for her portrayal of Bonnie like Faye did!

Faye Dunaway Puts Hilary Duff On Blast!

bitch-slap.jpg

Upon hearing of a Bonnie and Clyde remake directed by newcomer Tonya S. Holly and starring Hilary Duff, the original film's star, Faye Dunaway, reportedly said, "'Couldn't they at least cast a real actress?"

Meow!

The original film was nominated for 10 Oscars back in 1967, wining one for Best Supporting Actress and one for Best Cinematography.

Dunaway and co-star Warren Beatty both expressed exasperation over plans for a remake, but director Holly insists that The Story of Bonnie and Clyde will be an original script inspired by old news clippings of the famous outlaws that she found.

So it's more of a retelling than a remake, but does Hil have the chops for it?

The Other Duff Sister Gets A Job

wenn20512562.jpg

Must be good to have a famous sister!

Haylie Duff has (once again) little sister Hilary to thank for getting her a job.

"Singer and actress" Haylien has just landed a role alongside Hilary in her new sitcom, Barely Legal.

Got to keep it all in the family.

As part of Hilary landing the lead role, sources claim she also insisted that her 23 year-old sister be given a recurring role.

One source says, "Haylie will play the big sister who visits from time to time."

Is Momma Duff gonna be making cameos too??????

Hilary Duff Returns To Television….As A Lawyer!

attorney.jpg

In what's being touted as a "legal version of Doogie Howser, M.D.," Hilary Duff will star in a new sitcom as a young attorney fresh out of law school.

The new show is part of the Duffster's development deal with NBC.

Based on the true story of Kathleen Holtz - who, at 18, became the youngest person to pass the notoriously difficult bar exam - Barely Legal will be Duff's comedic return to television.

Sounds a little gimmicky, but good luck, Hil!

Quote of the Day

wenn2205408.jpg

"You know what? I was quoted saying I was a virgin, but I absolutely did not say that. That's nobody's business but my own. … I've been accused by the press of giving lap dances at clubs. I mean, little ol' me? It's shocking… And they're so descriptive about these lap dances. I don't even know how to do a lap dance!"

When Your Music Career Is Not Doing Well….

lizzie-2pointoh.jpg

When your music and film career is floundering, whatchya gonna do?

If you're Hilary Duff, you go back from whence you came!

The Duffster is talking with the Peacock Network to star in a new television show.

Hilary has just signed a one-year development deal with NBC. They will pay her mucho money, she will guest start on a few of their shows and they will try and create a new show for her.

Sounds good to us!

Duff will meet with writers to take a gander at what the network has in the works to pick something out that will best suit her.

In 2004, Hil tried her luck with a CBS pilot, but it was never picked up.

Let's hope she has better luck with NBC.

Wonder why she isn't trying to do a show with Disney's ABC?????

Do they not value her a$ much????
