Simon's Thoughts On Filming US X Factor

simon-cowell-thoughts-on-us-x-factor1.jpg

You know you're dying to know!

Now that the first week of auditions have been completed, Simon Cowell gives us his thoughts on the new season of US X Factor.

On Paula:

"You know I’ve been doing interviews for months, you know we’re talking about the show and getting people to audition and over and over again, whether it was radio interviews or TV interviews, radio interviews, the internet, but mainly the public, I was hearing one message loud and clear. We want Paula on the show. I listened to the public, because they make or break our shows!"

On disagreements with Paula:

"What’s interesting is is she’s snappy. Paula. You know, she doesn’t like something. I’ve forgotten what she’s like. She doesn’t like you to disagree with her. And there were one or two disagreements. But that’s why we wanted her on the show. I think it’s important that everyone has their own viewpoint. But she is good at spotting talent. I mean I thought she was really on it the last two days and I said to her afterwards, this is the best I’ve seen you in a long time."

On Cheryl Cole joining the show:

"There’s no question about it. Most British people that come over to these shows seem to be being mean or rude. Not me, but others… ! But but Cheryl, she’s not like that. I mean, she’s got a lot of fire in her, but you’re going to see a very different type of British judge with her and the audience really warmed to her."

Cheryl’s hair:

"I wasn’t really taken by Cheryl’s hair. It was the equivalent of her using five gallons of hairspray and then standing in the middle of a hurricane! There was a lot of purple going on in the outfits too…

I think the guys won in the style stakes on the first day…!"

On the show's groupwork:

"There is a massive opportunity for groups right now – how they normally happen is a manager puts them together but the best ones are groups who put themselves together. It doesn’t matter if you haven’t got it totally right for the first audition if you haven’t got time – we will see potential. But I want to see as many as possible because I’m excited about this prospect. Get your mates together and form a group.

We had one good group but they were put together by their mother– the problem is mothers shouldn’t be putting together a pop groups! They were 12,13, 14– and the group should be put together by themselves. And they definitely don’t get styled by their mother!"

Any songs he's tired of?

"Yes! I’m really close to already banning Grenade by Bruno Mars. It all sounds the same . It used to be I’m Yours by Jason Mraz. Now we have got a replacement."

Ha! We love his honesty! So far the US X Factor sounds EPIC! Can't wait for the fall!

Jason Mraz Vows Not To Wed Fiancee Until Gay Marriage Is Legal

Wow! Thank you so much for making such a personal and powerful stance for the cause! You're our hero!

Jason Mraz has confessed to sources that even though he proposed to his girlfriend Tristan Prettyman this past December, the couple have no plans to marry right away. Well, actually, their timing hinders on the decision of the U.S. government. The couple have vowed not to get married until it is legal for all gay Americans to get married as well. He explained to sources:

"We both feel that in our engagement, we have a union that's really special and cant be broken. It's a sacred bond. The wedding would be nice for our family, our friends, our community — our moms especially — and so it puts us in the fight. We can't get married until [gay] marriage is legal and equal…I think giving people the right to marry will be a huge movement in civil rights."

So do we!

It really touches our hearts to see so many good people doing all they can to try and get equality for all, even if it is just standing by the cause within your own community.

Bravo, Jason! We wish you and your fiancee all the best. Let's hope everyone will get the chance to walk down the aisle soon!

JoBros Vs. Jason Mraz

jonas-brothers-steal-songs.jpg

It seems that the Jonas Brothers' Camp Rock 2 song Introduce Me sounds a LOT like Jason Mraz's I'm Yours.

So much so, that he commented on it, but legal action isn't in the cards!

Mraz said:

"I heard the song, and it was just a tremendous, tremendous horror of a tune. I noticed a few similarities in the melody, but it wasn't enough to pick up the phone and argue with somebody about it. If anything, I just wanted my $1.29 back that I spent on iTunes."

Wowsa! Do U think the JoBros stole the song?!
