Joan Smalls News Archive
This Friday just got a whole lot better!
That is, if you're into that sort of stuff.
Miranda's bodysuit is actually by Louis Vuitton! We don't even wanna know how much it costs.
Meanwhile Kate's bodysuit didn't quite cover her up so she had to use her own hands, LOLz!
We're warning you now, they're very NSFW! Okay, now click away!

It was only a matter of time!
It's common knowledge now that the Kardashian-Jenners are super tight with Balmain creative director Olivier Rousteing.
But this particular campaign has to be extra special because Kenny gets to pose with her little sister!
In fact, it's all about siblings for Balmain's Fall 2015 campaign — Gigi Hadid along with sister Bella, Joan Smalls and sister Erika Smalls, and male models Armando and Fernando Cabral will also be featured in ads.
Isn't that so awesome?
For now you can check out Joan and Erika's ad in the gallery (above)!

If you still don't think Kendall is a legit model, you need some help.
And while Karlie and Doutzen may no longer actually be Angels, we think this could be a good sign for Kendall if they think she's at their same caliber!
Could U see Kendall as the newest Angel??

Kanye West, Kendall Jenner, & Jessica Chastain Score Vogue Japan's Cover With The Givenchy 'Fashion Gang'
What is going on here, guys? Help us understand!
But while Riccardo, Kanye, and Jessica look basically like themselves, Kendall and the other models — Jamie Bochert, Joan Smalls, Mica Arganaraz, and Akimoto Kozue — sport a ton of facial jewelry (piercings?) — and honestly Kendall looks like she has a mustache!
We guess it's just some really cool fashion thing that us plebes will never understand.
We're also quite surprised Kim Kardashian West didn't manage to squeeze into this group somehow.

V-Hudg looked like Mother Nature incarnate in her large-print floral halter gown which was perfectly styled with her rosy makeup and sweet up 'do!
Meanwhile, Joan donned an off-the-shoulder long sleeved gown, featuring a very busy print! In fact, it was so busy that it's hard to see the ruching details at the waist!
We're not completely sold on either look, but at least we can see what's going on with Vanessa's!

Holy thigh-high slits!
We love when that happens!
Taylor Swift's bestie was scorching in a beaded black gown with not one, but TWO slits!
She also styled the sultry number with an enviable amount of diamonds and strappy black sandals.
Meanwhile, Joan went for a softer look in her eyelet white crop top and maxi skirt.
A two-piece like this wouldn't normally scream "Cannes", but her intricate nude sandals, fierce statement earrings, and wavy tresses definitely had the 26-year-old standing her own!
And last but not least, there was Doutzen, who slayed in a slinky black gown with a grommet bodice. Though what we love even more than her slitty black dress were her dazzling stylings!
We love the winged liner and massive amounts of diamonds, don't U???

We already know that mainstream beauty magazines are really bad at diversity.
But here's another example!
Many of the "need to die" trends were depicted on black models or celebrities of color, while the approved trends were featured overwhelmingly on white models and celebs — notably Estee Lauder stunners Joan Smalls and Kendall Jenner, among others.
The Cosmo piece didn't seem to garner much attention at the time, but it has recently resurfaced in the public's consciousness, and criticism has been heavy.
Here are some reactions on Twitter:
