Good news for her Madgesty!

Reports are surfacing that officials in Malawi are finally going to grant FULL adoption rights to Madonna and her family.

Her Madgesty has been caring for her son David on an 18-month interim custody order that was granted back in 2006.

Madge and her family were recently being monitored at their London home by Malawian social workers to ensure they were suitable parents.

A leaked official document referring to Madonna and Guy Ritchie, states, "Mr. and Mrs. Ritchie have shown a strong commitment in providing the infant with all essential needs like love, safe home environment, care, protection, material as well as emotional support."

It adds that David had "bonded well with the couple and other key members of the household" and that he "continues to develop into a happy thriving toddler. His survival, growth and development is excellent."

The court will hear a full review of the case next week on May 15th.

Madonna is expected to return to Malawi next week to continue her charity work. She will not be required during the hearing though.

An official says, "She will have to come to court to sign the full adoption documents later."

There are still those opposed to the whole adoption, such as the Human Rights Consultative Committee, which as "friends of the court", have decided to challenge the adoption. They are seeking a full review of the interim order granted to Madonna.

Why you gotta be interfering with a baby's happiness???

Not cool!

Yea, that's the way to do it. Take David away from his family and place him back into poverty where he might die of malnutrition or worse!

Neil Diamond is back…in a big way!

According to Billboard, Diamond is on his way to nabbing the #1 album spot next week with his new release, Home Before Dark.

Madonna's Hard Candy could be knocked from the top by…Neil Diamond?

Hilarious!

Another interesting factoid: if Neil Diamond does indeed secure the #1, it will be his first ever in the forty plus years he's been in the biz.

Billboard does make an interesting point. Mother's Day is this weekend and Neil Diamond is totally mommy music. We might even pick up Neil for our mom!

Could this be the thing propelling Neil to the forefront? That and maybe his appearance on Idol this week totally helped!

Plus, everyone knows it's usually the older peeps (the kind who like Neil Diamond type stuff) who actually BUY music.

We hear that there's a lot of youngins who love to download pirated music on the net!

Madonna is going on tour this fall!!!!!!!!!

The best live performer on the planet, the Queen of Pop will kick off her "Sticky & Sweet" tour in Cardiff, Wales on August 26th and begin her North American jaunt in Rutherford, N.J. on October 3rd.

What city near you is she (hopefully) going to????

Madonna's latest album, Hard Candy, had a great debut this week on the Canadian album charts.

According to the Nielsen SoundScan data, her Madgesty's single album reached the number one sales spot, selling over 58,000 records.

That's almost TRIPLE what Mariah's E=MC2 debuted to in Canada a few weeks ago.

Maybe if Mimi announces that she's pregnant, that will help her sales???

Madonna goes gay!

Nothing like a little girl-on-girl action to drump up a little lot attention.

Her Madgesty held another showcase gig in Paris on Tuesday night and got a little sticky and sweet with one of the female backup dancers.

M must have been in a festive mood. She has plenty of reason to celebrate! Her new album, Hard Candy, has debuted #1 on the U.S. album charts, selling 282,000 copies its debut week.

Not too shabby!

The Brits have made up their mind, and they prefer Madonna over Mariah!

The chart results were just announced and her Magesty's new album, Hard Candy, has topped the U.K. charts, coming in at #1.

Mim's E=MC2 only managed to get a #3 debut on the British album charts.

Additionally, Madonna's 4 Minutes is #1 for a 3rd week on the U.K. singles chart.

And, Hard Candy is taking the top spot in more than 25 countries as the numbers roll in!!!!

Just earlier, we were moaning that she isn't doing enough TV. Now….

Madonna is reaching out to the peeps!

For the first time in BET history, Madge is going to be hanging out with the network's 106 & PARK team this coming Friday!

According to a press release, the show's prepping to give her Madgesty "a welcome celebration like never before".

Madonna will also introduce her new video 4 Minutes, featuring Timbaland.

While in NYC Madge should do SNL and maybe Today or Good Morning America, too!

And Letterman!

And Conan!

And TRL!

And pretty much EVERYTHING!

You gotta hussle, momma.

This has to be a bit of a disappointment for Madonna!

The Queen of Pop's new CD, Hard Candy, went on sale this Tuesday and it is expected to move between 275,000 and 300,000 copies its first week in America, which should easily put it at #1.

Good….but not great by any means!

Madonna's last CD, Confessions…, debuted to about 350,000 copies its first week.

AND, that was without much radio support for first single Hung Up.

The fact that radio has been behind M's new single, 4 Minutes, in a big way makes her expected debut for Hard Candy that much more disappointing.

Mariah Carey, on the other hand, not only sold about 475,000 copies of her new CD, E=MC2, but….that was also Mimi's biggest debut week ever.

A lot of the blame must be handed to Madonna. She hasn't done as much promotion for the new record as she should.

She's barely done any TV!

Mariah, on the other hand, pimped her new album out hardcore, doing tons of appearances from morning television to TWO nights on the widely-watched American Idol.

Madge got lazy! She did many many magazine covers and interviews but not enough TV.

She hasn't done ANY talk shows! NOT ONE!

Then, Madonna had the balls (or naivete) to refuse to talk about the CD during her junket last week - Today show, Access Hollywood - because she wanted to focus on her documentary, which screened at the TriBeCa film festival.

Mimi hustled and it paid off. She WANTED her new album to do well. And it did.

Madonna, not so much.

It feels like Christmas!

Madonna's new album, Hard Candy, drops TODAY, bbs!

And, in true Madonna style, she's already conquered a key area in the 'new' music business machine — digital sales.

Madge's 4 Minutes has become the second single ever to have digital sales exceeding one million units in five weeks. Rihanna's Umbrella was the first.

As of today, digital sales of 4 Minutes are l,004,482 units.

Mariah must be pissed!
