Someone just bought a piece of the late Heath Ledger.

The actor's busted old and dirty jeans he wore in Brokeback Mountain just sold at auction with the winning bid being somewhere around $21,000.

Nate D. Sanders Auctions sold the 34 x 36 inch Levi's 501 XXs along with a pair of leather gloves that had "Ennis," his character's name, written on them in black faded marker at a price twenty times the original asking amount.

Wowsa.

Considering Heath later went on to win an Oscar posthumously, we can only imagine how much these will be worth in years to come.

Ottavio Missoni, founder of the Missoni fashion house, has passed away at 92 years old

This is heart-breaking.

Ottavio Missoni, the patriarch and founder of the Missoni fashion house, passed away in his home in Sumirago, Italy on Thursday at 92 years of age.

He leaves behind his wife Rosita Missoni, as well as his children, Angela Missoni, who is the head designer of the house, Luca Missoni, the creative director, and several grandchildren.

His eldest son Vittorio Missoni, who went missing with his wife and companions during a flight to Venezuela back in January of this year, is still unaccounted for.

Ottavio began the family business in 1953, creating knitwear collections for various boutiques and stores in Italy, before launching the famous zigzag motif in 1962 and finally opening the first Missoni store in 1967.

Business has been booming ever since, with the latest Missoni for Target collaboration flying off shelves and causing the Target website to crash due to enormous demand.

Nonetheless, it's been a really tough year for the family, and they are in our thoughts during this truly difficult time.

This is such sad news!

Legendary Cosmo editor, writer, philanthropist and "sexual revolution" supporter, Helen Gurley Brown, died on Monday following a brief hospitalization. She was 90 years old.

A Hearst memo was sent out to inform employees, stating:

"It would be hard to overstate the importance to Hearst of her success with Cosmopolitan, or the value of the friendship many of us enjoyed with her. Helen was one of the world’s most recognized magazine editors and book authors, and a true pioneer for women in journalism—and beyond."

Brown helped revive Cosmo and make it the mag it is today, when she was brought on as editor after the success of her book, Sex and the Single Girl, a position she held for 32 years!

A memorial for Helen will be held sometime in the fall, though no official date has been set yet.

We are SO sad to hear this news and are sending our thoughts to her family during this difficult time.

Today is a sad day.

Fashion journalist, Anna Piaggi, who provided inspiration to Karl Lagerfeld, passed away in her Milan home on Tuesday at the age of 81.

The fashion world is certainly mourning the loss of the eccentrically dressed writer who was described by photographer Bill Cunningham as a “fine poet in clothes.”

Anna was hard to miss

Why, why and why?!?

Last week's Dark Knight Rises Aurora, Colorado movie massacre has had us in awe, but ever since the shooting occurred, some retailers have been taking some not-so-practical approaches to the terrible tragedy.

First, an online store, Celeb Boutique used the massacre to hawk a dress, and then, CafePress was offering a thong as a form a respect.

WTF is going on?!?

The undergarment was available for $12.50 with a caption that read:

There are no words.

Clothing website, Celeb Boutique clearly didn't Google, turn on a TV, or even do a hint of research before sending out a tweet to peddle a dress on Friday.

The online retailer saw #Aurora was trending on Twitter, which unbeknownst to them was because of the tragic Dark Knight Rises movie theater massacre in Aurora, Colorado, and thought
