Zach Sobiech was just a normal 14-year-old teenager living in Minnesota when his doctors diagnosed him with osteosarcoma - a rare form of bone cancer.
After a long fight with the cancer, doctors told Zach he only had a few months to live. Zach turned to music and recorded a song called Clouds, a song about dealing with death, which has since gone viral and has been viewed by over three million fans!
So it is with a heavy heart that we bear the sad news that Zach passed away on Monday morning. He was 18 years old.
Here's what the Children's Cancer Research Fund said in a statement:
We were very excited to hear that there were plans to rename a park in Brooklyn after the late Beastie Boy, Adam Yauch. Especially when we had heard that Adam learned to ride a bike there many years ago! It's so fitting for such a cool dude!
Well, we're happy to announce that the ceremony has been held, and that the park is now officially known as Adam Yauch Park!
On hand to speak was Adam's mom, and also his fellow band-mate Ad-Rock (who spoke in the video above!)!
If was a small and relaxed ceremony, and it's the perfect way to remember someone who had been taken too soon!
27-year-old Wilbrent Bain, the brother of the rapper Trina, was fatally shot at 9:35 am yesterday morning in northwest Miami.
Later that day the police arrested a Ron Dobson who apparently confessed to his involvement in Bain's murder.
The two, who had been friends, apparently had been having a serious argument. When Bain made to get off his bicycle, Dobson removed a gun from his waistband and shot Bain multiple times in the chest.
15-year-old Audrie Pott was raped by three teenage boys last September after becoming intoxicated and unfortunately unconscious at a friend's party.
And while the rape is bad enough, the boys who attacked Pott took pics of the sexual abuse and then put 'em on the internet for all of the San Francisco Saratoga High School to see.
After the horrid event went down, the teenager took to her Facebook to write:
"The whole school knows…. My life is ruined."
And eight days after the rape happened, Audrie took her life by hanging herself.
Rehtaeh Parsons, 17 from Nova Scotia attempted to commit suicide last week, and died on Sunday after she was taunted for being raped back in 2011 and then cyberbullied for almost two years.
A girl from Indiana was bullied so relentlessly by her peers that she eventually ended up taking her own life.
The girl's mother Danielle Green read her letter to the Senate Education Committee where she hoped Congress would pass a bill that made harsher rules about bullying.
Green's daughter Angel wrote a letter specifically for her bullies.
