EXCLUSIVE! Lisa Vanderpump Explains Why She Teamed Up With Sharon Osbourne To Take A Stand Against The Yulin Dog Festival — Watch Their Haunting PSA HERE!
The two animal enthusiasts teamed up to produce a PSA about the terrible event in China that celebrates the brutalization and slaughter of defenseless dogs so they can be eaten for pleasure.
In the announcement, the Real Housewives star calls viewers to action, inviting them to participate in a march to the Chinese consulate in Los Angeles on World Animal Day — October 4.
We've learned EXCLUSIVELY that Lisa filmed the haunting video (above) in her home on the day before her birthday. She also included the Osbourne matriarch because they've been friends for a really long time, and Sharon shares Lisa's passion for their furry friends.
Miz Vanderpump has opened up to us in the past about the horrible holiday, but now she's explaining why she decided to organize the march:
"When I saw the horrific images of dogs being tortured and slaughtered for their meat my heart got heavy. Right then and there I said to myself, I'm going to do everything I can to put an end to this so called 'festival.' This is what I want on my epitaph. I want it to say this woman was instrumental in ending the barbaric torture of these poor creatures."
We're really proud of Lisa and Sharon for standing up against this terrible tradition, and we really hope they are able to make a difference.
If you're in the area on October 4, head to MacArthur Park at 10 a.m. to join the movement.

Don't you just want to hug Sharon Osbourne after seeing this?!
The star panelist of The Talk took a leave of absence last season to deal with a health issue, and now she is ready to come clean about what happened to her — and how her story can benefit other women!
Nobody knows yet exactly what Osbourne went through, but she hinted at it in an interview on Wednesday's CBS This Morning.
Watch Sharon and fellow panelist Julie Chen discuss their show's upcoming sixth season while also making mention of Osbourne's health (below):
Their older sis, Aimee, is back in the spotlight following the release of her latest music video back in March — except this time, it's for an entirely different reason!
In a recent interview, the 32-year-old, who famously opted out of appearing on The Osbournes, opened up a lot about her familial problems!
She shared that despite living in the same city as her brother and sister:
"I wouldn't say there is an ease between us, but there is an acceptance. Do we socialize? No."
It seems by choosing not to star in the reality hit show back when she was 18, it had a lasting effect on this family.
And it's been fourteen years!
We're so glad she's feeling better!
Well, now she's back to the the CBS talk show, and she's already proving how strong she is by getting candid about her cancer diagnosis from way back in 2002.
When co-host Julie Chen asked if any of the panelists ever had something bad happen to them that eventually changed into a blessing, Sharon broke down on camera as she talked about her health scare.
It's a very powerful segment, but it's also nice to see how supportive her friends are!
Ch-ch-check out Sharon's emotional moment (above)!!!
We're glad Sharon Osbourne is feeling like her old self again!

After Sharon tweeted a simple, "I'm back," her co-workers quickly hopped on Twitter to show their support. Check out the messages (below):
The Duggars have been a heated topic of discussion this past week after eldest son Josh Duggar admitted to molesting girls when he was a teenager. The future of their show 19 Kids & Counting is still up in the air…
Another ongoing development is the Sofia Vergara frozen embryo drama. But Perez totally has the Modern Family star's back while slamming her ex-fiancé Nick Loeb!

Sharon Osbourne is taking a well deserved break!
The Talk co-host is taking a hiatus from the daytime talk show in the wake of a frightening incident.
On Friday, the 62-year-old collapsed in her El Lay home after returning from a trip to New York and Toronto last week!
A rep for explained that the star's "grueling" schedule was to blame:
"Upon her return she collapsed from mental and physical fatigue. Her doctors report that she is suffering from 'extreme exhaustion' and assessed that she most likely returned to work too soon after being hospitalized recently for pneumonia.
Yikes! It sounds like some rest & relaxation is exactly what she needs! The statement continues:
"Sharon has been advised and has agreed to to take a month hiatus to recover fully from these recent events. Sharon would like to thank everyone at The Talk for granting her this time off and to all friends, family and others for their incredible support."
Kelly Osbourne's momma has been on The Talk since it began back in 2010.
We hope Sharon rests up well on her much needed time off!
