Matt Allum was skiing in the French Alps, when he flew right into a 60ft crevasse!
Overwhelmed with happiness at the fact that he wasn't injured or dead, Matt just had to take a selfie! You know how that goes.

Former Formula 1 driver Michael Schumacher is said to no longer be in a coma!
Schumacher has been in a French hospital in Grenoble since a skiing accident late last year that many feared would cost him his life! The 45-year-old suffered severe head trauma and has been monitored closely by doctors ever since!
Now, the seven-time world champion is being transferred to a rehabilitation center in Lausanne, Switzerland where he will continue his treatment.
This is just so terribly sad to hear.
Russian skier Maria Komissarova suffered from a pretty nasty accident during a practice run at the 2014 Sochi Olympics which resulted in a fractured vertebrae in her lower back.
Unfortunately, this has lead to even worse news as she confirmed
There is NO WAY that Snow Swimming will become a new Olympic sport for a few reasons:
1. It's not a real sport.
2. It looks like it hurts.
3. Swimming is for the Summer Olympics, and the snow will never stay snow during the summer!

Sarah Burke was a skier who tragically passed away in 2012, after crashing at the bottom of a superpipe in Utah.
Well, Canadian coach Trennon Paynter wasn’t going to let his trainee miss the Sochi Olympics that she’d been training so hard for.
Paynter brought Sarah’s ashes in a metal container with him all the way to Russia, but he had to get crafty in order to spread them because there were metal detectors everywhere!
Since he’s a coach, Paynter was able to tuck the ashes into his jacket, and then make a few runs down the hill. He explained
