Tadashi Shoji took a stylish trip for spring!
The designer described his S/S 2013 collection as "a journey along the modern Silk Road" that starts in California and stops at the Gobi desert, the caves of Dunhuang, and Xi'an, China.
The end result is a mixture of dresses made with Venetian lace, ikat-prints and tulle gowns destined for the red carpet.

Great news!!!
Brides-to-be who loved Octavia Spencer's lavender Golden Globes gown will soon be able to say "I do" wearing a version of the red carpet beauty!!
Tadashi Shoji, the designer who created the custom-made dress worn by The Help star, says he was inspired to add the piece dubbed the Octavia to his new bridal collection after receiving praise for the original.
He says:
“I decided to make the ‘Octavia’ gown in ivory for our new bridal collection after the positive response. I love the way the soft draping envelops the figure while the jewel embellishment adds sparkle for a bride’s big day.”
And so do we!!!
It was definitely one of favorite dresses worn during awards season!
Brides who have their eyes set on Octavia should plan on waiting, because the dress won't be available until spring of 2013.
Sadsies!

The Best Supporting Actress nominee stunned in a custom hand-beaded, ivory silk/tulle draped cap sleeve gown by her favorite designer Tadashi Shoji.
By far one of the best dressed of the evening and the entire awards season.
