What a weird night in north Florida for Rae Sremmurd‘s Slim Jxmmi!!!
The rapper got into it with an amateur DJ at the University of North Florida‘s OZFEST spring concert on Saturday night, when Slim jumped into the DJ booth area to swing on the poor guy after he allegedly refused to play a song the rapper had requested! WTF?!?!

Things all started last night when Sremmurd was pissed that the DJ wouldn’t play a song he had asked about during the performance. For a while, Slim and the amateur DJ had a war of words, going back and forth a bit about it during the show.
And then, almost without warning, Slim jumped into the DJ booth and started fighting the guy!!! It was crazy!!! You can see video of the altercation itself HERE. Slim honestly starts swinging on a random amateur college DJ at some small college-town show in north Florida… that’s one way to spend your weekend!
Fortunately for all, though, the fight was broken up very quickly and — best of all — cops were NOT called, so nobody had to go to jail over any stupid sh*t involving the altercation. Jxmmi was taken back stage for about 15 minutes to cool down, and the time away obviously worked: he soon came back out to finish the set, and even was seen there alongside his bro Swae Lee for safe keeping! (Lee did NOT perform, himself, but was certainly there to help encourage and set Slim on the right track.

The craziest part is… the DJ finished the set, too! Both parties apparently carried on like things were totally normal afterwards, almost as though nothing had ever happened! So strange!! It is good news, though — we’re glad nothing escalated and nobody wound up in the hospital, or in jail, or something like that.
For Slim, this marks his second dust-up in just the last few months, though; the rapper was involved in what media outlets have called “a violent street brawl” back when he was in New Zealand earlier this year. Thankfully for the boys of Rae Sremmurd, at least, Slim walked away from that one nearly scot-free too. But clearly something’s gotta give — it might be time for Slim Jxmmi to chill out a little bit!!
