In the UK, scientists from Queen Mary, University of London have been doing an inneresting experiment.

They're looking to measure the moods of goats at a sanctuary in Kent, trying to see how well the animals can recover from neglect and abuse.

What they did was test the goats in a special enclosure that had hidden food surprises.

They studied how optimistic or pessimistic the goats were as to whether or not they'd find food.

The best part about this study, other than showing even farm animals have a complex emotional life, was that it showed mistreated animals can still be fully rehabilitated!

That's so ahamyzing!!

A two-year-old gray cat was found in the parking lot of a Baldwin Park animal care center in El Lay.

The cat wasn't just spotted strolling around without a collar or tags or anything.

This cat was struggling to breath, having had its paws duct taped together and its face taped up.

That's absolutely despicable!

An animal control officer found the cat while walking through a lower level of the parking garage at the County of Los Angeles Department of Animal Care and Control's Baldwin Park Animal Care Center.

Animal Control director said:

It's a sad fact of life that even though some people may love their animals, they're just not able to provide for them.

That seems to be the case with Travis the horse.

Travis used to be a carriage horse at Disney and may have even pulled Cinderella's carriage in San Diego's Seaport Village.

Well this doesn't make much sense! Terrorism? REALLY?

That is, unless the lawmakers are super into abusing animals. Or being paid off. Those are the only ways we could EVER see this happening — because the collection of wide-reaching laws will effectively make it impossible to collect evidence of animal abuse from here on out!

We're talking about cutting off whistleblowers with good hearts or even videographers working with the Humane Society when their evidence usually ends with prosecutions, fines, and even reform among producers! Which is a GREAT thing! Those poor animals!

With the new bills, deemed "Ag-Gag," the people who collect the evidence must turn it into authorities as soon as it's collected, instead of being able to accumulate any detailed or significant body of evidence. Which normally would lead to better results against the offenders!
