Snake Salvation Reality Star Jamie Coots Dies After Being Bitten BY A SNAKE! Find Out Why He REFUSED Treatment!

The loss of life is sad, regardless of how it came about — so the seemingly 'duh' coincidence of Snake Salvation star Jamie Coots dying because of a snake bite doesn't mean we should make light of it.

That being said, what did he think was going to happen?

The National Geographic show was a reality program about a pastor who was convincing people that faith could and will save them from snake bite venom.

Regardless of what you believe, it seems like he was really putting lives in danger! You can believe what you want for yourself, just don't rope others into it!

Annual Japanese dolphin slaughter ends with at least 30 dolphins dead!

This is just so absolutely awful!!

Japan's annual bottlenose dolphin hunt slaughter ended on Tuesday in the Taiji cove area where 200 dolphins were being held.

The fishermen of the village used a large tarp to shield the actual mass murder from reporters and activists.

But when it was all over,

Congratulations, Humanity, You've Let The Western Black Rhino Go Extinct

The western black rhino is officially extinct now. Well, that sucks!

We previously mentioned one wildlife group already declared the Western Black Rhino extinct.

Originally, we thought they might have jumped the gun a little, seeing as how the World Wildlife Fund had estimated there were still about 4,000 of the rhinos left.

Well now, the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN), the largest conservation network, has declared the subspecies totally extinct.

Dead. Gone. Donezo.

Poached into extinction by heartless poachers. Thanks for that.

Another Rare Sea Animal Washes Up On California Shores! This Time It's A Saber-Toothed Whale!!

Saber-toothed whale washes up on California shore!

Does anyone else think this thing bears a striking resemblance to the monster in Tremors?

A rare saber-toothed whale, named the Stejneger’s beaked whale (it's official name), has washed up on the sandy shores of Venice Beach, California!

Before being loaded up in this flatbed truck and taken away for a necropsy (as you can see in the pic above), the 15-foot-long, 2,000-pound beast was found dead about 1,000 miles away from its natural Alaskan habitat.

Cause of death is unknown, but the whale had several cookie-cutter shark bites in it.

They believe the whale was most likely alive when it washed up.

So sad it died by beaching.

One washing up this far south, in this level of of preservation is pretty much unheard of so at least science can learn a lot from it!

Still sad though… poor whale…

The real question is… what's going on with all these rare sea animals washing up on California shores?? Did you SEE the 18-foot Oarfish found last week???

African Lake Literally Turns Animals Into Stone!!

African lake literally turns animals into stone!

There is a magical lake in Northern Tanzania, Africa.

It's called Lake Natron and it can literally turn any animal that touches it to stone!!

Seriously, this sounds like a fairytale but it's not!

The lake gets its name from natron, a natural compound that's mainly made of sodium carbonate and some baking soda.

When animals swim through it, they eventually become calcified, effectively turning to stone!

Photographer Nick Brandt captured images of these petrified creatures for his new book, Across the Ravaged Land.

Brandt found several bird carcasses dead along the shoreline of the lake, so he posed them and snapped some pics, saying:
