During Guillermo del Toro's Pacific Rim discussion at this year's 2012 Comic Con Festival, he surprised audiences with a brief, unexpected teaser for the upcoming Godzilla reboot, which as far we knew hadn't panned past the promotional design art released two years ago at the very same panel!

Comic-Con 2012 is just ONE WEEK away and we're happy to report that there will be PLENTY of panels to keep the film geeks happy. In fact, Saturday's schedule alone is worth the price of admission for the entire weekend!

For starters, Quentin Tarantino has secured a Saturday slot in Hall H to screen scenes from his upcoming revenge flick, Django Unchained.

Marvel will also be showing off Iron Man 3 as well as "an inside look at the ever-expanding Marvel Cinematic Universe." We hope that means special guests will be discussing Thor 2, Captain America 2 and maybe Edgar Wright's Ant-Man, since Tony Stark's latest solo adventure is rumored to be providing a launching pad for Marvel's newest adaptation.

We’ve discovered an Amazing Spider-Man clip with Denis Leary!

Peter Parker brings Lizard-Man info to a cop played by Leary who, predictably, does nothing but crack Godzilla jokes, LOLz!!

Most Spidey trailers are just Andrew Garfield wall-climbing and web slinging so it's nice to see how the action-free scenes will play.

Godzilla is BACK!

During Comic-Con this year, Legendary Pictures unveiled the new design for our beloved monster friend, Godzilla, and he looks much better than that sorry attempt for a reboot with Matthew Broderick!

That one was the WORST!

Thank goodness he has his fire breath back! Happy to see that the new flick is on the right track!

Warner Brothers is shooting for a 2012 release date! We can't wait!

If there is anyone who actually wants to see another Godzilla movie get bad, then they are INSANE!

We refer to the 1998 disastrous Godzilla movie starring Matthew Broderick. Ask him how great that was for his career.

Regardless of what we think, Warner Bros. and Legendary Pictures is closing a deal to start production on yet another Godzilla flick. We imagine the studio sees big $$$ to be made with the franchise now that 3D is popular, but all we see is a big, green, scaley flop!
