After a month of hunting the Florida Everglades for Burmese pythons, the Python Challenge is coming to close…

And for most…it was a HUGE WASTE OF TIME!!!!

Only 50 pythons were killed for the event, as 1,500 hunters from 30 states and Canada ran wild thru the swamp and came up with nothing to show for it.

Which is pretty weird…considering there are 150,000 Burmese pythons in the Glades!

Thankfully, no one was injured while hunting but as these snakes have proven, Burmese pythons are quite evasive and GREAT at camouflage.

Oh well…better luck next year we guess…although we still wish there was a better way of doing this.

Wow, Iran…..wow…..

PETA is beyond angry at Iran for launching a monkey in space in an attempt to conquer space.

Photos have surfaced showing a visibly terrified monkey strapped to a "pod" with duct tape and the sad thing…this ISN'T the first time Iran has tried to send a monkey in space.

A Belgian Malinois has died while performing a bomb sweep in New Orleans for Vice President Joe Biden.

The veep was speaking at the Ritz-Carlton when the pooch fell over the roof of a six story parking structure.

Zambia is joining the FUN party of banning trophy hunting, following in Kenya and Botswana's footsteps.

Leopard and lion hunting will be banned in 2013, two of the big five of trophy hunting, (elephants, water buffalo and rhinos are the other three). The government hopes the bans will boost ecotourism.

This is a tough one to sniff out!

Two Florida drug busts are currently causing a stir in the Supreme court, all thanks to a couple of dogs doing their jobs.

In the first case, police received a tip from Crimestoppers that a house had illegal drugs. Franky, a loyer drug sniffing dog, smelled the outside of a house door before the police got a warrant.

Franky smelled drugs so the cops got the warrant and searched the home, where they found marijuana.

The second case is about a dog named Aldo. An officer and the pooch stopped a truck with expired plates.

Aldo sniffed the air and the police searched the truck and found chemicals used for crystal meth.

Case closed, right?

Well….not so fast

There's a great petition out there right now that needs your signatures!

It's about trying to get trained service dogs to servicemen and women suffering from Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD).

The petition said:

"The love and help of a trained service dog can reduce the suffering of Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD). Since the Federal Government accepted the service of each member of the American military, the Federal Government has a moral responsibility to do everything in its power to heal the wounds incurred in that service, including psychological wounds. Please do what you can to urge Congress to provide the funding necessary to train and provide service dogs as faithful friends and aids to the Veterans who need them.

Dogs are literally the best thing ever.

There's not much more you can say.

A service dog is not only trained to help but they offer a form of companionship that nothing else can replace.

The petition has just over 4100 signatures as of this writing. Let's get them way over their goal of 10,000!
