Wowzers!

On Thursday, an injured deer got stuck on an icy pond in Colorado, and if it weren't for concerned citizens, the poor animal could've easily fell through the ice!!

It wasn't until today that the Parks and Wildlife authorities were able to rescue the deer — and even though it's frightening to hear that the animal was on the ice for that long, later is definitely better than never.

An 85-pound dog was on a walk with his owner when he spotted a coyote.

Being a hunting dog, he did what he does best and chased after the animal.

Right onto a frozen reservoir!

Some people were ice skating on a frozen lake.

They then spotted a struggling deer stuck in the middle of the ice.

Deer pretty much can't walk on ice, so they needed to help it off.

Though we're not sure how the deer got on the ice in the first place.
