Well, This Is Bad — Presidential Candidate Ben Carson Just Got Caught Lying About His Acceptance And 'Full Scholarship' To West Point!
The walls are closing in on the presidential campaign of current GOP frontrunner Dr. Ben Carson!
Not only did he reveal he thinks transgender people make everybody else uncomfortable, but now a major point in his inspirational personal story has been exposed as a lie.
According to a report from POLITICO, the famed neurosurgeon — who is currently running atop the GOP polls, ahead of even Donald Trump — fabricated a story about applying and being accepted into the prestigious U.S. Military Academy at West Point.
Carson first told the story years ago in his memoir Gifted Hands, describing how as a 17-year-old high school student he met and dined with General William Westmoreland in 1969.
At the time, Westmoreland had just finished his duty as the commander of American forces in the Vietnam War — an extremely powerful and well-connected position. Carson alleged that Westmoreland was so taken with the young student from Detroit, the academy offered him a "full scholarship" to attend.
There's only one teeny, tiny problem with Carson's story… it's a complete lie!
West Point has no record at all of Carson
