Don’t even think about messing with Queen Bey, because it’ll most definitely cost you!!
Back in June of 2011, Beyoncé released her album 4, but it had already been leaked online 16 days beforehand!
Now Sony Music has filed a lawsuit against a Swedish man who they believe uploaded it to The Pirate Bay, a torrent website!
So, just how much are they seeking in damages??
The papers filed say Sony is suing for $233,000, for not only leaking the album, but damaging their relationship with Bey and taking a toll on her own reputation, as well!
The man, who’s currently not being named, is believed to have gotten his hands on 4 in advance through some music industry connections of his!
Guess this should be taken as a warning for the other music pirates out there!
We hope this doesn’t happen again with Beyoncé’s upcoming album that she’s working on… as much as we can't wait to hear it!

The internet has been banding together over the last few weeks to fight the Stop Online Piracy Act (SOPA) and PROTECT IP Act (PIPA) and has just gained a very powerful ally — the White House!
In a statement responding to two petitions against the bills from the House of Representatives and the Senate, the Obama administration officials wrote:
Well aint that some sh*t!
Looks like the people fighting piracy are doing it themselves! Well, by representation anyways…
Employees from major movie, tv, and music studios have been caught illegally downloading the tv series, new albums, unreleased movies, etc!
For example, an employee at NBC Universal was caught with the entire first season of Game of Thrones. And a Fox employee had Super 8!
What do U think about this, perezcious readers??

After the shutdown of the popular P2P music/file sharing program Limewire, the NPD Group is reporting a drop in overall piracy going on!
Here are some deets:
Filesharing activity fell from 12% of U.S. Internet users in the third quarter of last year-the last quarter the service was active-to 9% in the fourth quarter after the service was shut down.
NPD estimates that's 12 million more people downloading music illegally then there are today. In that same time, NPD says the average number of music files downloaded from P2P services fell from 35 tracks per user to 18.
Just the announcement of the impending lawsuit against the program caused users to abandon the ship, dropping the amount from 56% to 32%. Quite the fall!
As you'd expect, this wasn't the only way to get illegal music out there, so NPD will be watching to see if other ways spike in activity.
Limewire had been around for so long that its shut down has had a huge effect!
How do U feel about music piracy and the sinking of the Limewire Pirate Ship??

Flynn Jeff Bridges would NOT approve of this, pirates!
Last year, pirates were all over James Cameron's Avatar, which received the
coveted dreaded honor of being the #1 most pirated movie of the year.
Now, it looks like Tron: Legacy is the frontrunner for 2011, because it currently holds the #1 spot.
Here's a list of the current Top 10 most pirated movies:
1. Tron: Legacy
2. The Next Three Days
3. The Chronicles of Narnia: The Voyage of the Dawn Treader
4. The Fighter
5. Season of the Witch
6. Drive Angry
7. The King's Speech
8. 127 Hours
9. How Do You Know
10. The Mechanic
Aside from Tron: Legacy, it looks like pirates have really turned up the heat on Nicolas Cage flicks!
…Then again, guess it doesn't come as too much of a surprise to us that people don't want to pay to see Season of the Witch or
Ghost Rider 1.5 Drive Angry.
Are U surprised by any of the movies on the "most pirated" list?
