This sport may be a new trend, but would you believe it if we told you skijoring has been around for hundreds of years?!?!?

In Scandinavia, Laplanders traveled by skiis, being pulled by reindeer as they Santa'd to and fro.

It became an equestrian event when it came to North America in 1950, where skiers used horses. Now skijoring is exploding in popularity as skiers are using a team of dogs to pull them.

But what the heck is skijoring?!?!

Former American Idol winner Kris Allen, who dropped a new album not too long ago, has the cutest dog EVER!

His doggy, Zorro, is so cute and popular that, aside from being on his daddy's latest album cover, he has his own twitter (@ZorroPup) with over 3,000 followers!

The Labrador Retriever!!

The American Kennel Club (AKC) has announced that the Labrador Retriever is the most popular dog in the U.S. and it has been that way for the past 21 years.

So the lab may still be the favorite but some surprising changes have happened.

Beagles overtook Yorkies to claim third place and the Rottweiler beat out the Shih Tzu, pushing it out of the top ten for the first time since 2000!

The top ten are as follows:

1. Labrador Retriever
2. German Shepherd
3. Beagle
4. Golden Retriever
5. Yorkshire Terrier
6. Bulldog
7. Boxer
8. Poodle
9. Dachshund
10. Rottweiler

No Goldendoodle??

This is an outrage.

We'll have to try harder next year we guess.

Big news: Not only is Doris Day still alive AND she's making a comeback!!

So why is the iconic actress posing with her dog Duffy? She says she want the album to "reflect my love of animals." We're not sure if that's the best way to sell an album, but we support you!!

America's sweetheart of the 1960s wanted to make the album as a tribute to her late son, music producer Terry Melcher AND also cause:

"I had to sing some modern songs because I had already done all the old ones."

That's good enough reason for us! And it would appear we aren't the only ones excited for Day's comeback. One of the songs from My Heart have already been played on British radio!

It appears Day's popularity has never waned, according to Daily Mail she was named the top-ranking female box-office star of all time in a 2009 survey.
